A community for the paleosciences

What is LinkedEarth?

LinkedEarth is a community of paleoscientists working to develop standards and software to advance paleoscience in the era of Big Data. This community creates data products, establishes standards, develops software and cyberinfrastructure, and provides training opportunities.

LinkedEarth originated in 2016 through a grant from the National Science Foundation’s EarthCube program. The project’s initial goal was to create a platform for archiving paleoclimate datasets and centralizing discussions about standardizing these datasets. Since then, the community has expanded its focus to include leveraging these standards to build automated tools for analyzing datasets and creating other data products.

There is no formal registration process to join LinkedEarth. We encourage you to become part of this growing community and integrate our tools into your scientific workflow.
