LinkedEarth activities are centered around four cores objectives:

  • The creation of a platform, the LinkedEarth Wiki, for the curation of paleoclimate data.
  • The development of a paleoclimate ontology through open discussion (in person and online). Discussion and proposed changes to the ontology take place via workshops, virtual meetings, Discussion pages on the LinkedEarth Wiki website, and our editorial process.
  • The development of open-source codes in Matlab, R, and Python to process, analyze, visualize, and model paleoclimate data.
  • Integration with allied cyberinfrastructure projects, including EarthCube but also the Consortium for Ocean Leadership, Neotoma, and NCDC Paleo. If you would like your organization to join the fun, please contact us!
